Minutes of the meeting held on 15th May 2004 At the Walpole Bay Hotel

1) Apologies Received

2) Minutes of last meeting
   Previous minutes discussed and agreed

4) Chairman's Report'
   BTCV Insurance: Decision taken to remain with BTCV because of groups activities.
   Fund raising events: Decision to arrange event before the end of year.

5) Speaker, David Bone, Project Team Manager for Southern Water. Extending Sandwich Waste 1Water Treatment Plant, to cover Broadstairs & Margate.
   Change in speaker from David Bone to Mike Beaster. A presentation was made on the planned proposal and history of scheme, issues raised as follows:
   Concerns for local wildlife
   Concerns for disruption to cycle routes
   Concerns for residents properties on the proposed site Costs as a Thanet resident
   Costs regarding waste water drainage
    Mr Beaster confirmed that the whole of the UK would pay a contribution towards the works. And would take all other questions away and return to us with the answers at a later date.

6) Discuss Topic; Kent County Council's proposal on paying for household rubbish disposal
   Brief discussion on this and it was decided to follow UP with more members.
